Our Legacy at Nu Gamma Lambda

Rooted in legacy, powered by purpose — our chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has been a steady force for leadership, scholarship, and service in Southern New Jersey since 1979. As the first Black fraternity founded at Cornell University, Alpha Phi Alpha’s commitment to excellence runs deep, and we proudly carry that torch forward in our local communities.
Though small in number, our chapter's reach is wide — from mentoring young Black men across Camden and Gloucester counties to shaping policy, education, and nonprofit spaces. Our members are educators, executives, entrepreneurs, and public servants—united by a bond of brotherhood and a shared mission: to be first of all, servants of all.
Known for our annual White Party and a legacy of impactful service, we are more than a social organization. We are a movement of men committed to leaving every space—and every life—we touch better than we found it.
